Poovar Island Resort presents stereotype Land Cottages in traditional
décor as well as Floating Cottages and Deluxe Floating Villas.
The facilities within the land cottages include air-conditioning,
color television with satellite channels, international direct dial
telephone, mini bar/fridge and attached bath with running hot and
cold water. The ground floor rooms have a private porch. The floating
cottages have additional features like tea/coffee maker, attached
bath with shower closet and private balcony. The deluxe floating
villas have a living room, a bedroom, private balcony and a glass
wall commanding the ravishing view of the estuary and the beach.
Dining
Poovar Island Resort offers two restaurants with a very high-tech
kitchen. At Tiffins-the Coffee Shop, you have the choice of Asian,
Indian and Western cuisines. Unlike the fish markets in real sense,
the Fish Market is a calm floating restaurant ideal for a romantic
dinner. Open only for dinner, seafood prepared in traditional Kerala
style of cooking is the specialty of this restaurant.
